On August 8 we have concluded our Mission trip to Palestine with 8 youth and 3 adults. This is an annual Mission that is exclusively for youth between the ages of and 21. We concentrate on visiting all our sister ELCJHL churches and their youth.

Our goal is to learn about our Christian brothers and sisters in Palestine and to experience the hardships they face every day. Our youth participants return to their home congregations and tell about the experience they have had. We do invite Moslem and Jewish youth to join us but in most cases this does not happen since Israel does not allow their citizens to cross to the west bank. In previous visits we have worshipped in synagogues and joined hosts in seder meals.
We visit cities and places rarely visited by pilgrims to the Holy Land and experience the hospitality of the Palestinians we meet.
This is a life changing experience for our youth.

Our next trip will be summer 2014. We encourage youth of all faiths to join us.
